PARTICIPATION POLICIES

  1. The participant is responsible about revising all the information available before applying to the Spanish Program.

  2. The participant must be registered in a Bachelor Program from his/her home University.

  3. The deadlines established must be respected; otherwise the student’s participation will be cancelled.

  4. The participant is responsible of keeping in touch with the International Relations Office in order to know the final results and the additional documents that can be required.

Fees and payment methods.


  1. All the participants must pay the current enrollment fee when participating in the program.

  2. The payment proofs (scan) must be sent by e-mail to the International Relations Office. Otherwise, the student will not be considered as participant in the programs and for this reason, his/her participation will be cancelled.

  3. The enrollment fee will not be refundable.

  4. The student must have an International Health Insurance during his/her stay in Mexico and make sure is under the right terms.

  5. The student must settle the course payment within the established dates. Otherwise, his/her participation will not be considered.

  6. It will be the student’s responsibility if he/she makes any payment (ticket flight, independent accommodation booking) before receiving the official confirmation from Escuela Bancaria y Comercial (EBC).

  7. It is important for student to remember that the online registration does not guarantee his/her place in the program until he/she makes his/her application payment in the bank account provided and also until we are notified about the payment by e-mail to the address internationaloffice@ebc.edu.mx

Cancellation of the participation


  1. The participant will have to notify by e-mail to the International Relations Office the cancellation of his/her participation, explaining the motivations for making the decision

  2. EBC will not be responsible under any circumstance for any expense that the student has made in case he/she cancels in the Spanish program.

  3. If the student cancels his/her participation within 30 or more days before the beginning of the Spanish program, 80% of the amount paid to the cancellation date will be refunded.

  4. If the student cancels his/her participation 15 days before the beginning of the Spanish program, 50% of the amount paid to the cancellation date will be refunded.

  5. If the student cancels his/her participation within 14 to 1 day before the beginning of the Spanish program, no refund will be made.

  6. There will only be 100% refund in case that the International Relation Office cancels the Spanish program.

  7. EBC reserves the right to cancel the course if there are not enough enrolled people.

  8. The minimum number of students required to open the program is 15 people. Otherwise, the group will be cancelled and the refund policy will be processed.

  9. Reimbursements will be made within the 15 labor days after the end of the course, by electronic transfer in the name to who made the payment.

  10. Documents to make the refund:

    1. Acceptance letter issued by Escuela Bancaria y Comercial (EBC).

    2. Payment proof.

    3. Official ID with photograph.

    4. Photocopy of the proof of residency.

    5. The bank statement where the refund will be made must include:

      - SWIFT Code.
      - IBAN.
      - Name of the bank account holder.

  11. The participation certificate will only be given to the students that get 90% of the assistance to the course.

Participants’ behavior


  1. During his/her stay in Mexico the participant will be responsible of keeping the academic performance and behavior standards required at EBC.

  2. EBC and the foreign university will not be responsible about the student’s behavior and the activities that he/she does that are not related to the academic and cultural activities of the Spanish program.

  3. The student will be subject to the behavior regulations of both institutions during his/her stay in Mexico.

  4. EBC reserves the right to cancel the student’s participation in the Spanish program depending on his/her academic performance and behavior during his stay in Mexico.

  5. In case of any broken rule from any of the institutions, the student will be considered out of the academic exchange program and he/she will be subject to the clauses from the regulations of both universities.

Course accreditation


  1. At the end of the program the participant will get an official certificate of participation issued by EBC.

Accommodation


  1. Accommodation will be provided to the student, which will be shared with other international students.

  2. Accommodation will have shared areas such as: living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom.

  3. Accommodation includes housekeeping (two times per week); the remaining days, students will be responsible of keeping the place clean.

  4. Accommodation cost is included within the total fee of the Spanish program.

  5. In case that any issue is not mentioned, it will be considered as a specific case with the International Relations Office.

I have read and I agree with the participation policies, as well as with the requirement of the Spanish Program that states the International Relations Office.
