Academic Exchange Programs (Incoming)

  1. Identity and Addressee from the responsible. La Escuela Bancaria y Comercial, S.C., (EBC) with office at Marsella No. 44, Col. Juárez, 06600, Del. Cuauhtemoc, Mexico City is responsible for the management and processing of personal data according to the Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data in the Possession of Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares) (LFPDPPP).

  2. Objective of the management and processing of personal data. In accordance with the provisions of article 16 of the Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data in the Possession of Private Parties and the provisions of articles 26, 27 and 28 of the Regulation of the Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data in the Possession of Individuals, we inform you that the general personal data (Identity data, images, contact information and academic information), financial data (health insurance policy) and sensitive data (health condition, treatments, allergies, blood type, disabilities, injuries, special needs) that we collect through a personal or direct form (electronic registration forms, documentations, social networking service, and e mail) will be used by la Escuela Bancaria y Comercial, S.C., for the following essential aims: student identification; registration and integration of his/her academic exchange application; adding and updating his/her information in our databases and control systems; to integrate his/her academic exchange file; to verify that meets the requirements in order to be accepted in any of our academic programs as an exchange student; to be enrolled; to monitor and support the student in Mexico; to stay in touch with him/her and to inform him/her about any issue related to his/her application or exchange; to know the student’s place of residence in Mexico as a security measure for locating him at any moment; to generate dissociated statistics and internal reports from our exchange programs; to post the summary and photographs about the student´s experience during his/her academic exchange on our social networks and website in order to foster the participation of our academic community in the exchange programs; to generate a historical file about our exchange programs; and to send information about our exchange programs, academic offer, newsletters or informative publications. Your personal data will not be used for advertising or commercial prospecting purposes.

    1. Sensitive personal data. The Information related to your health condition (treatments, allergies, blood type, disabilities, injuries, special needs) is required to know and to provide information to the emergency services in case that any emergency situation is presented during his/her stay in Mexico and it is necessary to know his/her blood type, diseases and treatments; also to know if the student has any health condition that requires specialized care.

    2. Financial personal data. The data of the international health insurance contracted by the student, are necessary to guarantee that he/she is economically supported in order to face with an emergency situation or incident during his/her academic exchange in our country.

  3. Opting out of distribution lists. In case you do not want to receive academic offer, newsletters or informative publications from EBC, you will be able to send an e-mail at any time to the addressee datos.personales@ebc.edu.mx making the request. You will also be able to opt out of our distribution list by using the opt-out tool included in our e-mails.

  4. Mechanism to know the comprehensive policy statement from EBC. To exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection (ARCO rights), or to know the terms and the conditions under which la Escuela Bancaria y Comercial, S.C. process your personal data, you can contact at any time our Privacy Office to the addressee datos.personales@ebc.edu.mx or to revise our Comprehensive Policy Statement at the website www.ebc.mx

  5. Consent for processing sensitive and financial personal data. In accordance with the provisions of articles 8 and 9 of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data in the Possession of Private Parties (LFPDPPP), we inform you that in order to process your sensitive and financial personal data in terms of this policy statement, it is necessary for us to obtain your manifested consent, that is why we request you to determine in the next table whether you accept or not the processing of your personal data, which are essentials to the receipt and evaluation of your application and also to carry out the academic exchange at EBC.
